Union Station Farmers Market’s Chef Council Brunch
To celebrate National Farmers Market Week, the Boulder County Farmers Market hosted a special brunch at Union Station. Highlighting the local farmers and Denver chefs that support the Union Station Farmers Market.
The Union Station Farmers Market falls under the umbrella of the Boulder County Farmers Market and is the only ‘growers only’ farmers market in Denver. Growers Only. It means that a vendor that participates in the farmers market is responsible for growing what they sell.
It’s easy to see the passion. From the vendors to the organizers. They understand that there is a difference between locally grown at mass produced. That nutrition adds flavor in each bite of a peach from Ela Family Farms. That dehydrating garlic for fourteen hours adds flavor to the Hazel Del mushrooms from Mile High Fungi.
It was incredible to not only dine outside of the beautiful Union Station, but enjoy the delicious dishes from each of the chefs. I cannot thank the farmers and chefs enough for all of the hard work they put in every day growing produce, supporting local business, and feeding Denver fresh, nutritious meals.
If you missed this round, be on the lookout for future pop-ups. Absolutely worth the 7:30am start time.
And with that, the 9am bell rings, signaling the start of the market. Be sure to visit the Union Station Farmers Market every Saturday morning through October 26, 2019.
