LeRoux Denver, Full of Beauty & Flavor

While my meal was compensated by the restaurant, my views expressed are my own.

From the restaurant group that brings you ChoLon & Concourse, LeRoux offers guests a menu full of flavorful dishes that you can’t help but snap a photo of. Take a small tour with me.

I swoon over a beautiful space. Especially one that doesn’t hold back on the decor. Black & white tile, deep blue walls, chandeliers dripping with crystal. It immediately sets a mood for shock & awe. Much how you’ll feel if you order the Wagyu Beef Tartare. Served under a glass cloche filled with smoke, allowing time for that flavor to sink deep into the dish.

At a place like LeRoux, it can be difficult to pick a beverage. Their cocktail menu is short & sweet while the wine selection deserved a standing ovation. Still, I went with the Porto & Tonic. Light, refreshing and paired well with almost everything.

Three words: Cauliflower Crème Brûlée. The most unique and delicious plate of food I can remember eating in the last year. Have you ever experience something different? It’s sweet from the brûléed sugar and spicy from the nutmeg that is sprinkled on top. The cauliflower is pureed then topped with perfectly seasoned roasted cauliflower, golden raisins, pine nuts and capers. No matter what, you have to promise me you will order this dish.

If you’re still hungry past the Gourmandise or Vegetable sections, take a look over the Fish and Meat choices.

The first protein we tried was the Steamed Lobster. Without reading the menu, my friend and I tried to guess the tangy yellow item on the dish. It complimented the lobster well, especially with the crunchy, yet slightly soft almonds. Turns out it was Meyer Lemon!

Second to come out was the Half Duck. Every ingredient on this plate tasted absolutely incredible! Between the two, I have to pick the lobster as my favorite.

You cannot complete this meal without dessert. The Pistachio Caramel Paris Breast was a delightful ending to this heavier meal. I absolutely wobbled out of LeRoux, but I can still taste every bite thinking back to this meal and cannot wait to go back soon!
